Springboard Activities

1. Write your words in cursive in ABC order.

2. Write down all the spelling words that are nouns and use each one in a sentence.

3. Write down all the spelling words that are verbs and use each one in a sentence.

4. Write down all the spelling words that are adjectives or adverbs and use each one in a sentence.

5. Add a prefix or a suffix (or both) to each spelling word and use each new word in a sentence.

6. Write each spelling word in a sentence.

7. Choose 10 of your spelling words and write a paragraph.

8. Write all of your spelling words and circle each vowel.

9. Write all of your spelling words and circle the consonants.

10. Write a synonym for each word.

11. Write an antonym for each word.

12. Write all of your spelling words and cross out all the silent letters.

13. Divide each of your spelling words into syllables.

14. Cut letters out of a magazine or newspaper to spell 5 of your spelling words.

15. Make a set of flashcards for studying your words.
