A LEGAL RIGHT TO READ
This agreement is entered into on this ____ day of ______, 200 , between __________________, referred to as THE TEACHER, and _______________, referred to as THE READER.
WHEREAS, THE TEACHER requires THE READER to read a certain number of books within the time period of ______________to ___________.
WHEREAS, THE READER shall, to the best of his/her ability, determine which books he/she shall read during the aforementioned time period.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that THE READER shall indicate in writing those books that he/she intends to read, and THE READER will have all these books in his/her possession at the beginning of the time period.
FURTHER, THE READER does hereby agree to read these books whenever time allows during the aforementioned time period.
THEREFORE, it is agreed by and between THE TEACHER and THE READER that upon completion of this contract, THE READER shall receive an award that befits his/her accomplishments.
THE READER shall indicate on the following line those books which he/she shall read: Title # of pages

I agree that the aforementioned statement is legal and binding, and that I, to the best of my ability, shall carry out the terms of the contract.
